When Experience Isn’t Enough
A biblical journey out of the Charismatic movement
This book has been on my heart for some time—and, Lord willing, it’s coming soon.
When Experience Isn’t Enough: My Biblical Journey Out of the Charismatic Movement is written for people just like you—those who are beginning to question what they’ve been taught, those already leaving experience-driven theology behind, and those trying to reach loved ones still caught in it.
I know what it’s like to sincerely love Jesus and yet live with a kind of spiritual tension—where your personal experiences, your church culture, and your understanding of Scripture don’t always line up. For years, I believed things because they felt true. I trusted leaders who spoke with passion, but who mishandled Scripture. I lived from one emotional high to the next, but often with quiet confusion underneath.
That journey eventually led me back to the Word of God—clear, sufficient, and better than anything I’d been promised in the name of signs, wonders, or modern revelation.
This book is not an attack. It’s an invitation. An invitation to come back to the beauty and authority of God’s Word. To lay down the burden of emotional performance and walk instead in the peace and certainty of biblical truth.
Who is this book for?
-
Those still inside the Charismatic or Word of Faith movement who are beginning to ask hard questions.
-
Those who have recently left, and are unsure what to believe now.
-
Those who were never part of the movement, but want to help loved ones who are.
-
And anyone who needs to be reminded that Scripture is enough—even when life is difficult, healing doesn’t come, or voices all around us say otherwise.
If anything in this blog has resonated with you, I hope this book will serve you well. In the meantime, stay connected here on Reformed Journey—I’ll be posting updates as the writing and release process continues.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. May God use this work for His glory, and for the good of those still searching for biblical clarity in a confusing spiritual world.
Soli Deo Gloria.
