About
Welcome! My name is Steven, and this blog is the outworking of something the Lord has done in my life—a journey from experience-driven faith toward the sufficiency and authority of God’s Word.
For years, I was part of the Charismatic movement. I genuinely loved the Lord, sought after His Spirit, and wanted to live fully surrendered to Him. But much of what I believed and practiced was based more on feelings, impressions, and teachings from well-known voices than on sound doctrine. Like many, I was taught to trust in personal revelation, to chase signs and wonders, and to expect guaranteed healing and prosperity in this life—if I just had enough faith.
But as I studied Scripture more deeply, I began to see the cracks. The more I read the Bible in its proper context, the more I realised that many of the things I’d accepted were simply not there. What I found instead was something far more beautiful: the clarity, consistency, and sufficiency of God’s revealed Word.
Reformed Journey exists to help others walking a similar path. Whether you’re starting to question the Charismatic movement, have already left it, or are trying to reach loved ones still caught in it—this blog is here to encourage you, equip you, and point you to the truth.
You’ll find biblical responses to popular teachings, theological reflections rooted in the historic Christian faith, and practical help for navigating the hard questions. My tone is pastoral, but the convictions are firm. Truth matters—and God’s Word is enough.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Steven
